( This satire is based on Jonathan Swift's "A modest Proposal", where he suggested the Irish to eat their babies to remedy the Potato Drought famine because the UK wasn't helping Ireland. Here's a link to it (it's a good read:Classic)

With all the media sabre rattling at present about the impending invasion of Iran, I feel compiled to offer a more humane solution then the apparent strategies that are finding there way into the media. We've heard about bombing raids, invasion forces and nuclear bomb use. Each strategy will have it's consequences because at least President Putin has stated that any attack on Iran will be treated as an attack on Russia. Then there is Europe and China, who will have strong options and may take actions like embargo's or trade sanctions or even violence. It's clear that this administration has not garnered the love of too many countries. Most of our supporters are bought and paid for either subsidies or global corporate hooliganism. So how does this administration screw Iran and steer clear of the bad press, global indignation, global war or civilian revolt?
Considering that our troops are stretched extremely thin, the use of nuclear weapons looms overhead. The horrific pictures of Iranian victims from a nuclear blast like Hiroshima and Nagasaki isn't going to go over well to say the least. One of the articles suggested a EMP (Electro-magnetic pulse) from a nuclear blast 100 miles in the atmosphere would throw Iran back into the dark ages. This isn't necessarily true.
I'm not an electronic engineer (I'm a software engineer), but you would not have to disable all of their electronics. In the book "The Day after Doomsday", written by an ecologist, she describes the effects of an EMP. A 1.41 megaton nuclear bomb detonated 100 miles in the atmosphere would destroy all electronic devices in a 200 miles diameter. iPods, all vehicles using electronics, VCR's, computers, TVs, radios, or anything that uses electronics would be fried. Water and electricity systems would by fried as well. But can we do a surgical EMP attack?
What if we used a smaller nuclear bomb detonated closer to the ground and only hit Iran's major population areas leaving the rural areas unscathed? That would take them back maybe 100 years (1907!). Their sources of food would still be intact and much of their water systems and electrical systems would be in place. Rural based diesel trucks and food distribution systems would still be active. Nuclear generators are generally in rural areas so that a Chernobyl like catastrophe may not be a problem. If the present administration is hell bent on attacking Iran, then this type of attack would skirt most of the international problems that will arise.
